Quezon City . The Sons of Lourdes Goodwill Games-Billiards concluded the 1st Solanus Casey 9-Ball Open Tournament here at Side Pocket Billiards & Bar last Friday, September 15, 2006.
The tournament winners were -
Champion � Mica Laveria *female guest playing on behalf of Erwin Paz LSQC'82
1st runner-up � Glenn Rosales LSQC '82
2nd runner-up � Andy Silva SOL '84
*The organizers spiced up the tournament by allowing lady guest players to play billiards via a sponsoring alumnus who wants to rally round the goodwill games but can not play or who can play but chose to just enjoy the company of batch mates. J

HEAVY RAINS? TULOY PA RIN!

Quezon City. The Sons of Lourdes Goodwill Games-Billiards rolled cue balls to start off the 1st Solanus Casey 9-Ball Open Tournament here at Side Pocket Billiards & Bar. The organizers received calls and text messages like �d ako dating pre kc baha nd grabe trafic� because of the unexpected heavy downpour that evening but the rains did not bring the tourney to a standstill.
"Heavy rains or under a clear shimmering moonlight, let the games begin..."
The tournament had 8 participants: alumni from Lourdes School of Mandaluyong � Andy Silva�84, Dante Garcia�79 and from Lourdes School of Quezon City � Ernest Galang�94, Charles David�94; Joey Abarquez�82, Joseph Literal�82, Erwin Paz�82, Apol Fausto�82 joined in to play. The players drew lots to know who plays against whom.

A Lourdes School Alumni Billiards Tournament - SOLGG Venue: Side Pocket Billiards & Bar 1155 Quezon Avenue., Quezon City (Fronting Capitol Medical Center from West Ave/EDSA going to España at your right after the foot bridge.)

Mechanics:
- The tournament will be an OPEN class billiard match.
- The tournament registration is on first come first serve basis.
- The tournament
games start at 8pm; game default time is 15 minutes after 2nd call to play.
- The tournament
adapts International 9-ball Rules.
- The tournament
will have a double elimination, Race-to-7, Alternate breaks.
- The tournament's finals format: Single-elimination only, Race-to-11. Winner must win by a minimum of 2 clear racks, up to maximum Race-to-13.

The tournament will evoke a loser pays billiard table cost.

The tournament will grant trophies to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners.

The tournament director's decision is FINAL.

Player Etiquette
a. Always show respect to your opponent, and acknowledge any good shots they play so as to keep a friendly atmosphere.
b. Don't harass your opponent at any time.
Game Conduct
a. Upon completing your game, both players must report the result to the designated lobby area. Wait patiently for the director to announce the next round.
b. For the sake of helping the director keep a check on things, please do not start the next game until it is announced in the designated lobby area. Wait patiently until the pairings are announced before starting games.
Guest Player
a. For those alumni who are not playing may sponsor a lady guest player to play in his behalf.
